It is often difficult to translate the fullness of a particular Hebrew or Greek word into English. Language Light™ will focus on different Hebrew and Greek words, as they are used in a verse. The objective of Language Light is to provide you with a more precise undertanding and clearer picture of the Hebrew or Greek word, as it is used in the passage.

"Lost In Translation" - The Phrase: "Spread Thy Skirt" in Ruth 3:9 - "And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth, thine handmaid, Spread thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman."

Meekness - "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."

Ministers/Servants - "Let a man so account of us as the ministers/servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God."

"Temperate" and "Striveth for the Mastery" - "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we are incorruptible."
